Arangetram is the debut performance of a student of Bharatanatyam. It is the culmination of
her comprehensive education in dance. The word “Aranga” means stage and “Etram” means
ascend. After learning Bharatanatyam under the guidance of an accomplished guru, this is the
occasion for the proud guru to present her disciple to the public.
